The club is not far from Hope Square and Brewers Quay. It can be reached by walking from the Town Bridge down the harbour towards the sea, or by steps from the car park in Barrack Road. Also see this Map of the area.
If coming by car from the Dorchester direction, you should follow the signs towards Portland until Weymouth Harbour appears on your left. Keep the water on your left until you have passed the Town Bridge. Take the second on your right, Cove Street, and go through Hope Square. Turn left into Horsford Street, which becomes Barrack Road, and leads to several car parks on the cliff above the club.
The road between Dorchester and Weymouth becomes very congested on summer Saturdays. An alternative route from the London direction is to take the B3390 about 2 miles after joining the A35, cross the A352 and follow the A353 to Weymouth. Follow the seafront to the mini-roundabout at the clock tower, turn right, take the second exit (straight on) at the next roundabout, cross the bridge and take the first exit (left) at the next roundabout. Proceed, keeping the water on your left, past Town Bridge. Now reach the club, or the car parks, as described above. Directions via B3390

Weymouth Sailing Club promotes sailing in the port of Weymouth.

The club has substantial premises in a prime location on Weymouth's beautiful harbour, moorings for about 120 boats, a dinghy park and a slipway. It is primarily a racing club and runs a full race programme from April to December, but there are also many members whose main interest is cruising. The Club also has an active social programme.
Classes catered for are IRC, Fast and Slow Cruisers, National Squib fleet (at present 33 Squibs are registered), and handicap dinghy fleet. The WSC YOBs (Youths on Boats) have a fleet of 6 club RSFevas.

We feel very fortunate to sail in the waters of Weymouth Bay, selected as the venue for the sailing events in the 2012 Olympics.
Visiting yachtsmen are very welcome to come and enjoy our Club facilities.

All our members would love to find an Olympic medal winner wanting to crew for them, so if you are such as person you will be inundated with offers. However we realise that most people have not done much sailing, so if you lack experience, don't worry. Several of the bigger boats in the club need a crew of at least half a dozen and can usually take somebody who is starting as the junior member of the team provided they are keen to learn.
We look forward to hearing from you!

We normally receive around 45,000 visitors a month, most of whom are actively interested in or already sailing in the Weymouth and Portland area. If your business needs to raise its profile with these customers, why not help out and sponsor our website?
Get in touch with us to discover a really cost-effective form of advertising to the local and visiting sailing community. We guarantee only one sponsored advert will appear per page - far better than any spend with Google!
