Boats over the line at the start. OCS - On Course Side Raise X, which is kept on a stick for easy use.

1 extra sound signal (2 in total).

Lower when offending boats have started correctly or after 4 minutes.

General recall Raise First Substitute, which is on the other end of the stick from X.

2 extra sound signals (3 in total).

Lower after 4 minutes.

Shorten course from the hut Raise round black object over the class flags for the classes to be shortened.

Two sound signals as first boat approaches the line.

Shorten course from a committee boat Raise S over the class flags for the classes to be shortened.

Two sound signals as first boat approaches the line.

 

Postponement Raise Answering Pendant (AP) and with two sound signals.

When ready to continue, lower AP and with one sound signal.  Resume starting procedure one minute later.

Life jackets or personal buoyancy

Raise Y with one sound signal.

All competitors must wear life jackets or personal buoyancy.

Change of course/follow me

Raise L with multiple sounds.

To inform competitors that the course has changed before the warning signal, eg. the course was displayed before a significant wind shift and the windward mark was changed.
